42 Technologies that facilitate everyday lives of people directly affect automotive sector as they do all areas in the business world. Digital infrastructures of cities as well as vehicles are developed in such a way to become more connected, more efficient, and safer with lower environmental impacts. In line with our mission to offer innovative automotive products and services that would be benefitted by people, we focus on producing transportation technologies and vehicles for the smart cities of the future. We develop various solutions for problems such as increasing urbanisation and climate change by focusing on the opportunities emerging in the field of mobility which changes rapidly. When developing these solutions, we establish collaborations with several organisations from public to private sector and lead the way in Turkey and in the world with a working environment that feeds entrepreneurship and innovation. Thanks to these practices, we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals including Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Partnerships for the Goals. Low-emission Solutions In order to tackle climate change, reducing emissions of our vehicles is one of our key responsibilities. Reducing vehicle emissions has great importance also in terms of conforming to increasingly strict regulations, using the opportunities emerging due to climate change and protecting competitive power. We invest in innovative technologies with the purpose of contributing in fuel economy and reducing GHG emissions. We continue developing and expanding our entire vehicle range to have less impact on the environment. We achieved a significant progress in developing vehicles with alternative fuels such as natural gas with lower emissions, electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles and related engine and transmission systems as well as use of lighter materials. We also contribute to fuel and time economy and emission reduction of our customers through smart applications we offer in areas such as fleet management. ECOBLUE ENGINE The new 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine which we have developed by jointly working with Ford UK teams in the processes of main design and development stages replaced the 2.2L Duratorq TDCi engine used in Transit and Custommodels. Along with Transit and Custom, EcoBlue engine may also be used in all Focus, Mondeo, C-Max, S-Max, Galaxy, Ranger and Everest diesel models. Standing out with its reduced GHG emissions, thanks to its quieter structure and less fuel consumption, EcoBlue engine currently meets the TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGIES OF THE FUTURE In order to tackle climate change, reducing emissions of our vehicles is one of our key responsibilities.
