SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2018 53 Emission reduction is not limited with the works we carry out at our plants; we also place great importance on reducing emission values of the vehicles we produce. You can access detailed information on the vehicles and technologies we have developed under the Transportation Technologies of the Future section. We provide training to our employees as well as our subcontractors’ employees on environment in order to achieve the goals we set for ourselves in terms of environment and continuously improve our performance. Accordingly, we provide a total of 14,450 person*hour training to our employees and 908 person*hour to our subcontractors throughout 2018. We have the goal to raise awareness with the environmental training we provide both within our company and in all the organisations we are in contact with. We provide a total of 455 person*hour environmental training with a focus on social responsibility as well. The 24 th Şahabettin Bilgisu Awards During the 24 th Şahabettin Bilgisu Awards, organised by Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, we won Large Scale Business Category Combined Sector Environment Award with our project which reduced carbon dioxide in domestic transmission test rigs instalments under the guidance of our R&D Test Centre. WWF - Turkey Green Office We participated in the Green Office Program in collaboration with WWF - Turkey in the second half of 2016 with the purpose of raising awareness of energy conservation, efficient use of natural resources and sustainable lifestyle and speeding up the dissemination of sustainability approach within the company. We supported the program with over 1,700 employees from Sancaktepe R&D Centre and Marketing, Sales and After Sales Offices. Thus, we became the organisation participating in the program in Turkey with the highest number of employees at a single location. We made improvements in various areas such as reduction of paper, water and electricity use by e-signature method as part of the works that were led by Green Office Team that we had established within the company. Furthermore, we were the first automotive company taking part in WWF - Turkey’s Green Office Network and set a leading example for our sector. We will integrate our Kocaeli and Inönü campuses in the Turkey Green Office Network in 2019 by expanding the extent of the project.
